ArtBridge touched the life of Chelsea Cheramie is a special way. Trish and JoAnn saw Chelsea's passion and talent for art. ArtBridge secured a scholarship for Chelsea to attend the Glassell School of Art last summer. The support and opportunity are invaluable to a child in the midst of family upheaval, living in a homeless shelter.
ArtBridge touches the lives of many of Houston's homeless children. During the past three years, ArtBridge has had about 2,000 children in its program at seven to eight Houston-area homeless shelters. Serving children already exposed to serious loss and pain such as family crisis, neglect and domestic violence. ArtBridge has received funding from the Houston Endowment and the Brown Foundation, among others. Their annual budget is $200,000. |
